Sony E-reader…

I’ve always loved the idea of having a real book to hold in your hands and read. 

But this is pretty cool… it’s neat because it can hold a large quantities of books at a time. 

I always take a ton of books with me everywhere.  What?  I like to have options. *)

As you wish…

So I finally went to try “As You Wish”.  This is the store where you can pick out a piece of ceramic and paint it yourself.  I have been wanting to go but I hadn’t gotten around to it until now.  My Mom and I ended up spending the whole day there.

Here is what we finished…

I did three but they still need to be put in the oven. 

I’ve never painted anything so I really hope the colors come out brighter.

It was really fun.  I am def. going to have to go back with my Dad or brothers.

 

Watermelon!

My garden is sprouting some but my parents’ garden is in full swing!  Check out their HUGE watermelon.  Keep in mind I can’t get my strawberries to grow but they have a whole bowl of fruits and veggies everyday.  Sigh.

Saved by the light!

I happened upon this book as I was doing research for a story I am wriitng.  The book is excellent and very interesting.  To summarize Dannion has died twice and come back to life.  When he dies he goes to heaven and in heaven he is exposedd to prophecies but most importantly he is given tasks that will help him save humankind from a bitter end.  This is a true story and for me it was very motivating.  His tasks help ease suffering on earth and create only good. 

He has two additional books that I have not read yet but I will be sure to read them.

 

Zumba!

So lately I have been Zumba-ing it up.

My instructor mixes hip-hop, salsa, cumbia, and what looks like some Bollywood moves.

 

 

The Super Taco!

So I been trying to do this forever…but I finally got around to making it…THE SUPER TACO!

 

It’s a little much.  I could only eat one..barely. 

But The Old Man put two down with ease.  I swear he’s not human.

Twilight!

I have been obsessively locking myself up in my house to read the Twilight series. I’ve worked my way through all of the books in three days (well half way through the last..I had to stop for my own sanity).  Yes, yes..I am a fiend.  I am pretty excited about the new book and movie.  For those of you who don’t know this is a pretty good series to get into.  The writing is a little much.  It’s not great writing but it does leave you wanting to find out what is going to happen next.  I don’t want to give away the premise of the stories but you can most likely figure it out by looking at the book covers.  There is a love story that ensues and that is primarily what you will keep reading for. Although the love story can be, like a said before, a little overdone.

 

This is the complete series with the last book “Breaking Dawn” coming out August 1st. 

I have already put it on reserve at B&N and I will probably be there at midnight to pick it up (Midnight party just like HP).

 

Apparently, there is also a movie coming out.
