There is something about Robyn that I love..I think it’s the mix of boy and girl in her that I totally relate to.

Engine Driver…

I think it is safe to say I am madly in love with this singer.  I think that if you like Michael Buble then you will really like Kiersten Holine.  Every song is acoustic and she relies solely on her voice and a guitar. 

I absolutely love this..this has to be the most beautiful song I have heard in a long time

 and her cover is so much more meaningful than the original cover by The Decemberist.

Kiersten Holine is amazingly good.  I can’t wait until she puts out an album.  Until then I will have to be content watching her youtube videos. 

 

Santogold

I LOVE this artist!  She was in a band called “Stiffed”before that is excellent also.  This is a song that is off her new unreleased album.  It is due out in April.  She just has such an unusal sound but with good beats.  To me it always comes down to if there is a good beat.  This video is a little slow at first…i don’t know what’s up with the horse but it gets better.  I love the concept. 

Marie Digby- Unfold

So this is the artist who beautifully covered lots of songs including Rihanna’s “Umbrella’ and Britney Spear’s “Gimme More”on youtube.  She has come out with her own album entitled “Unfold”.  I am not sure if the original songs she has are as well written as the songs she covers but her voice is beautiful.

Superchick!

Superchick!  Now this is one of those bands that you think you’ve never heard of..but you have.  This empowering rock/pop group has spat out some awesome songs some of which you already know.  “One Girl Revolution” and “Perfect Day” from off the Legally Blonde soundtrack.  This band has some excellent new music out and their lyrics range from cute to cutting to clever. Some songs like “princes and frogs” seem downright silly while “Stand up” and “One Girl Revolution” are empowering.  Of course, the newly released “Beauty from Pain” is so entirely well written that I cry each time I read the lyrics.  Check this band out!
