“Arizona will now have a chance to end the
second longest championship drought
in North American sport when they take the field for
Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa Bay on February 1.
The Cardinals’ 61-years without a championship
is second only to baseball’s Chicago Cubs,
who have gone 100 years without a title.”
A banner read “Arizona Cardinals Shock the World”
as the Cards played in their new stadium today to crowds of red and white.
There was definitely a lot of crying and cheering this afternoon because
it has been a long time coming for Arizonans.
Die hard Cards fans have been loyal regardless.
And to say the least, the whole city is enthralled.
Personally, I think that the new stadium
has finally broken the Pottsville Curse.
